 My family has homesteaded and hunted on these Private Ranches in the Blue Mountains of Eastern Oregon for over 130 years. Albert Peterson is in the Boone & Crocket World Record Book with a 321 1/8 BC non-typical Mule Deer Buck with 42 points total, 17 points on the right, 25 on the left, 6 7/8 around the bases, 34 ¼ outside width, 26 5/8 inside width. This Buck was taken in 1926 from the back of his horse with a Winchester 30-30 Carbine while he was gathering cattle. This Buck was #4 and is now #6 in the world. It is still the #1 BC non-typical Mule Deer Buck in Oregon. 
I have personally taken one Rocky Mountain Bull Elk that placed in the Oregon Pope & Young Record Book. I have since missed two more Bulls that would have scored extremely well. When I took this Bull he would have placed 11th in Oregon in 2000. He is an almost perfect 6x7 that scored a gross of 353 7/8ths and he scored a net of 340 2/8ths.
